Independently tested: the clinical studies
In 2025 Pipa commissioned Repeated Insult Patch Tests (RIPT) — the standard test for whether a leave-on or rinse-off product irritates skin or causes an allergic sensitization — for each of its four core formulas. The tests were run by Eurofins | CRL, Inc. in Piscataway, New Jersey, an independent clinical research laboratory, under principal investigator Winston Moy, MD, Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. Each study enrolled 120 volunteers with self-perceived sensitive skin; 113 completed the full nine-application induction phase and the challenge phase.

Conclusion of each report, in the laboratory's words: under the conditions of the study, the test material "did not demonstrate a potential for eliciting dermal irritation or inducing sensitization." The studies were conducted under the laboratory's standard operating procedures and applicable ICH Good Clinical Practice standards, with written informed consent from every participant.
What clinically-tested means at Pipa
It means a board-certified dermatologist supervised a controlled test of the finished product on human skin, and the results are documented in a signed report. Patch tests of this kind are run on adult volunteers; children are, as a rule, not enrolled in cosmetic safety studies. That is why Pipa tests on adults with sensitive skin — the closest available model for young, thinner skin — and why the formulas leave out the ingredients that most often cause trouble on young skin in the first place. Meet the founder
Kristina Kubler is a licensed esthetician with more than ten years in the beauty industry, and a mother of three. Born in Venezuela, she studied business, worked as a professional makeup artist and specialized in skincare after moving to the United States. When her daughter — whose nickname gave the brand its name — asked for skincare, nothing on the shelf fit: adult products were too strong, and products marketed to kids were not effective.
So she set out to build something different: a line made specifically for ages 8–13, with gentle, age-appropriate formulas and no harsh actives. Every product is dermatologist-tested before it ever reaches a shelf.
